Lawn Mowing in the Hills District
Reliable lawn mowing across Sydney's Hills District: mowing, edging and a proper tidy-up, on a schedule that suits your grass and the season. Same day each time, and we actually turn up.

Lawn mowing in the Hills District, done properly
Looking for lawn mowing Hills District homeowners can actually rely on? We've spent five years keeping local lawns lush, and the brief never really changes: turn up when we say we will, cut it right for the season, and leave it sharper than we found it. No lock-in, no fuss, just a properly maintained lawn you don't have to think about. Don built DMCS on word-of-mouth around the Hills, and the way you keep that going is simple: do right by people, every single visit.
What's included every visit
- Mowing at the correct height for your grass (couch, buffalo or kikuyu) and the time of year
- Edging along paths, drives and beds: the detail that makes a lawn look cared for
- Whipper-snipping the bits a mower can't reach, like fence lines and around the clothesline
- Blow-down and tidy-up so there's no mess left on paths, the drive or in the gutter
We bring our own gear, green-waste goes where it should, and we leave the place looking like someone cared.
Suburbs we mow
We're Kellyville-based and cover the Hills District and nearby. We've built dedicated pages for the areas we work most, so you can see exactly how we approach a lawn in your suburb:
- Lawn mowing in Kellyville
- Lawn mowing in Castle Hill
- Lawn mowing in Baulkham Hills
- Lawn mowing in Rouse Hill
- Lawn mowing in Bella Vista
Not on the list? We very likely still cover you. Just ask and we'll let you know.
How often should you mow a lawn in the Hills District?
Through the Hills growing season most lawns want a weekly cut in spring and summer, easing to fortnightly as growth slows over the cooler months. We'll recommend a rhythm on the first visit and lock in a regular slot, the same day each time, so it's one less thing on your list. If you'd rather start fortnightly and step up when the grass takes off, that's no problem either.
Do you mow in wet weather?
Not if it'll damage the lawn. Most of the Hills sits on heavy clay that stays soggy for days after rain, and mowing a saturated lawn tears the turf and leaves ruts. When the ground's too wet we'll message you and reschedule. Turning up and saying when is the whole point of what we do. As soon as it firms up, we're back on it.
Lawn mowing in Hills DistrictHow should the Hills clay and summer heat change the cut?
Clay soils dry hard and crack in a dry summer, then hold water after a downpour. We cut a touch longer through the hot months so the soil keeps its moisture and the grass doesn't scorch, and we keep the blades sharp so you get a clean cut rather than a torn, browning tip. Different grasses want different heights: buffalo, couch and kikuyu each have their own sweet spot, and we set the mower to suit yours. We also keep an eye on the Sydney forecast so your regular slot lands on a day that actually works for the lawn.
What does lawn mowing cost in the Hills District?
It depends on the size of the block, how often you want it done, and the state it's in on the first visit, so we don't quote a hard figure sight unseen. Send through a couple of photos and your address and we'll give you an honest ballpark, then a fixed price once we've seen it. Regular customers on a weekly or fortnightly slot get our best rate. For garden organics between visits, The Hills Shire Council green bin handles most of it.
Why Hills District homeowners choose us
Local, consistent, and we actually finish the job. We're not the cheapest knock-and-run mob. We're the crew you keep because the lawn always looks the part and you never have to chase us. Don quality-checks before he leaves and will happily have you take a look before he packs up. If that's the kind of service you're after, we'd love to look after your place.
